What Charlotte Clients Are Saying

We help active adults in Charlotte train smarter, recover better, and build confidence in their bodies.

I recently tore my ACL and went to Ryan for my rehabilitation. His knowledge about the injury and plan he set for me is the reason I am back doing the things I love. I am able to run, play tennis, and golf without pain. He provided a level of care I have not experienced at your typical physical therapy clinic. Once I was back to activities, he provided me with a program to reduce the risk of it ever happening again.

I can't speak of Ryan highly enough. I had a pretty bad injury in 2020 to my hip/glute. I had little luck with other PT's. With the help of Ryan I am back to powerlifting again. Ryan worked with my coach to devise a plan to make me pain free and by god did it work. Ryan's gym is clean, he's an intelligent man whose capable of making sure you understand the information and reasons behind his methods. I would go to him 10/10 times again. Im not all the way through seeing him, still have somethings to work though, but as it stands right now this guy is top tier.

My heel pain was so bad that I was limping around during daily activities and had to stop playing pickleball. I tried EVERY remedy I could find (ice, heat, rest, compression socks, night splints, acupuncture, cortisone shot, stretching, recovery shoes, new shoes, etc.) but none of it worked. Ryan listened to my symptoms, asked more questions, did some baseline testing, and pinpointed the root cause. He taught me targeted strength building and alignment exercises that progressed over the weeks, and I am so happy to say I am back to my pre injury activity levels. 100% recommend.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions from people in Charlotte considering physical therapy at Ascension Rehab.

Do I have to stop training while working with you?

Not usually. We build plans around your training schedule and help you modify volume or intensity as needed while you rebuild capacity. Many people continue training with adjustments during their first few visits.

How is this different from typical physical therapy?

We focus on performance, not just pain relief. Our approach combines hands-on care, progressive strength work, and load management to help you stay active long-term, not just get out of pain temporarily.

What should I expect at my first visit?

Your first visit is an assessment. We'll review your history, test your movement and strength, and build an individualized plan around your training and goals. You'll leave with clarity on what's limiting you and how to progress.

How long does physical therapy take?

It depends on your situation and goals. We focus on building durable capacity over time, not quick fixes. Most people notice improvements within a few weeks, and plans are adjusted based on ongoing reassessment.

Do you accept insurance?

Please contact the clinic directly at (980) 385-5192 to discuss payment options and insurance questions. We're happy to answer any questions about how we work with your coverage.

Still have questions?

Whether you're dealing with recurring setbacks or just want to train smarter, we'll help you get clear on what's holding you back.
